Since our founding in 2020, our NC Discount Propane savings group has delivered over 500,000+ (half a million) gallons of propane to our now 600+ tank-owning clients at rates below $2 per gallon during one of the most financially inflationary periods in American history.
We have also helped 100+ of our clients become propane tank owners by buying hard-to-find new propane tanks and propane appliances at NCdiscountPropane.com, determining ownership of their tanks, or purchasing tanks from other companies so that the customer can shop for the best prices and service.Arising from the middle of the pandemic, NC Discount Propane has had the best locked-in rates and customer service in North Carolina for six winters in a row!
During these six years, the average residential propane delivery price was around $3.40 per gallon. Many of our customers came to us from companies charging them $5-$6+ per gallon.
We've saved you over $1.41 per gallon on average when you factor in the fees we negotiated out of our bulk contracts (No hazmat, will call, paper billing, safety check fees), and that means we have saved our customers over $700,000+ during our first six years of operations.
By working and sticking together, we have saved our average NC Discount Propane customer more than $1,000+ each!
Many of our NC Discount propane clients have come to us from other companies that were demanding sky-high prices, offering poor customer service experiences, foreign call centers, billing overcharges, demands for prepayment, and delayed and skipped deliveries.
While all of us understand that propane deliveries are not pizza or Amazon deliveries and will take time and care, some of the largest propane companies, like Amerigas, Superior, and Suburban, have demanded extremely high propane and repair costs while propane supplies and wholesale prices have been lower than they have been in decades!
And each of these three companies has let a lot of their customers down and run out of propane, even customers who agreed to monthly top-offs, tank monitors, and prepaid plans.
Just go to the Better Business Bureau website and look at what propane customers are saying about Amerigas, Superior Propane, and Suburban at BBB(dot)org.
The BBB gives most companies an A rating, but click on the company name, then select COMPLAINTS, and give them a read.
At NC Discount Propane, we believe that propane consumers deserve better prices and service from propane companies, and that we have the right to organize as a group in pursuit of better propane prices and service.
Unfortunately, some propane companies have responded to our rise in the NC propane markets with contempt.
Instead of improving their prices and service to compete with us in the market, or working with our co-op in good faith, they have chosen to badmouth us and/or offer us bulk contracts, pull us in close, get our customer data lists, and then try to pull the rug on NC Discount Propane while offering our customers low rates directly to try to sink our NC Discount Propane ship.
Amerigas and Superior Propane have attempted to eliminate competition in this way.
They don't want propane customers to have any options because their prices are too high, their customer service is abysmal, and they have let far too many of their customers run out of propane.
They have bought out most of the smaller local propane companies in the state and are playing the monopoly game to make sure you land on Boardwalk with hotels.
In the case of Amerigas, we intend to hold them accountable for any problems and damages they have caused our company and any of our NC Discount Propane clients through their unfair business practices, terrible service, and breaches of contract.
We are thankful for each NC Discount Propane client who has stuck with us this far and helped us get to this point.
We are proud of the great service and prices we have provided for our clients since 2020. We've made it further than over 85% of the new small businesses that fold before year six.
We've helped a lot of people save a lot of money during some really challenging economic times, and we aspire to continue serving our NC Discount Propane saving group members into the future.... Lord willing.
